Verdesian Life Sciences adds four new Vice Presidents of Sales

Verdesian Life Sciences has announced the addition of four new Vice Presidents to lead growing demand for nutrient use efficiency (NUE) and sales of Verdesian technology solutions across the United States. Verdesian is focused exclusively on nutrient use efficiency products and technologies that help plants reach their full potential, sustainably.

Alan Sparkman joins Verdesian as Vice President of Sales for the East & South Regions of the US. Prior to joining Verdesian, Sparkman spent 24 years with Tennessee Farmers Coop as the Marketing and Ag Technology Manager for the Agronomy Division, supporting retail customers with their seed, crop protection and plant nutrition needs. Sparkman graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agronomy and Soils and is a Certified Professional Agronomist with the American Society of Agronomy. Sparkman also serves on the International Certified Crop Advisor Board, the Tennessee Certified Crop Advisor Board and Tennessee Grassland Board. Alan resides in the Nashville, Tennessee area.

Jason Radford joins Verdesian as Vice President of Sales for the West Region. Before joining Verdesian, Radford was Director of Retail Specialty Products at J.R. Simplot Company. Radford’s career in agriculture spans his lifetime having grown up on a small farm in southern Idaho. Additional experience Radford brings to the Verdesian leadership team includes various regional leadership positions at BASF and UAP over 18 years. Radford is a graduate of Brigham Young University and resides in Middleton, Idaho.

Scott Jungman will be joining the company officially in mid-December as Vice President of Sales for the Western Cornbelt Region. Also an industry veteran, Jungman has extensive experience in seed, traits and seed treatment having held several sales leadership roles at Beck’s Hybrids, Pioneer Hi-Bred/Dupont and FMC. A graduate of Iowa State University Jungman holds a B.S. in Agriculture and a M.S. in Agriculture (Agronomy/Weed Science). Jungman resides in Adel, Iowa.

Each VP brings great experience and customer relationships to the existing Verdesian team. We are very excited to welcome them to Verdesian and to introduce them to our customers across the U.S.”

Pat Mullahey has been promoted to Vice President of the U.S. Turf & Ornamental market. Mullahey is a current Verdesian employee with 25 years of experience in the agriculture industry, Mullahey is an expert in plant nutrition and crop protection in turf and specialty markets. Prior to Verdesian Mullahey served as Regional Sales Manager with Etigra, now NuFarm. He has held several leadership positions with Scotts in Ohio and worked as a territory manager for American Cyanamid in Nebraska and sales and marketing at Valent BioSciences. Mullahey holds a Bachelor of Arts in marketing from Stockton University.

They will join Verdesian veteran and VP of Sales Dave Schwartz to complete the US team. Verdesian continues to expand its salesforce and technical development headcount due to demand in the market for nutrient use efficiency solutions. Verdesian has also stepped up recruitment of top scientific and sales talent, increasing its technical sales and development department by 15% over a two-year period to provide greater access to Verdesian technologies and science.
