in-cosmetics Asia brings global suppliers to Bangkok

in-cosmetics Asia, the leading event in Asia Pacific for personal care ingredients, is gearing up to welcome thousands of APAC beauty and personal care industry professionals from around the globe, having drawn visitors from a total of 69 countries outside Thailand at last year’s record-breaking instalment.

Running at BITEC, Bangkok, from 30 October – 1 November 2018, the interactive event will demonstrate its expanding reach. The show set-up will provide visitors with a platform to locate new ingredients suppliers hailing from key regions across the world with the popular in-cosmetics Country Pavilions returning. This area will provide an unmissable glimpse into product development underway from French, Indian and Japanese suppliers. Among them, The Barcelona Beauty Cluster and Daejeon University in South Korea will make up two of the new pavilions that will connect visitors to specific suppliers in a unique networking opportunity.

Barcelona Beauty Cluster
The Spanish personal care and cosmetics market is one of the largest in Europe and was estimated to top €6.8bn in 2017. Having witnessed the success of French suppliers, Spanish manufacturers are continuing to break into the APAC region. Meanwhile, joining in-cosmetics Asia for the first time, the Barcelona Beauty Cluster will introduce visitors to leading Spanish suppliers, including: ColorClay SL, manufacturer of 10 varieties of naturally coloured clays ideal for detox actives, soft peelings and colouring agents; EG Active Cosmetics, experts in olive skin treatments; and Vytrus Biotech, a Biotech company that specialises in the development, production and commercialisation of high added-value active ingredients procured through the technology of plant cell cultures.

Business France
Returning to in-cosmetics Asia and joining Spain in representing European suppliers in the APAC region, Business France will bring together over 30 suppliers, all showcasing their latest ingredients available for the personal care industry. These will include: Agrimer, a major player in the seaweeds industry; Argeville, which specialises in high-quality fragrances; CODIF, which manufactures active ingredients from the sea, plants and biotechnology; and Gattefossé, a renowned specialist in lipid chemistry and plant extraction.

Daejeon University, South Korea
The second new pavilion, Daejeon University, will represent suppliers from South Korea – one of the top 10 beauty markets, which is worth over $13.1 billion, according to Mintel. With more than 80 suppliers joining the pavilion, visitors will have the unrivalled opportunity to meet and forge new relationships with exhibitors all under one roof. These include: ActivON, a leading Korean manufacturer and trader of high-quality raw materials; Bo-Kwang Chemical Co., Ltd., supplier of innovative raw materials for make-up, skincare and suncare products; CQV, a pearlescent-effect pigments manufacturer; Incospharm, which focuses on developing special active ingredients for troubled skin; and P&K Skin Research Center, a provider of scientific and technical support gleaned through clinical studies.

Japan
Alongside K-Beauty, Japan is a market leader when it comes to cosmetics, with Japanese beauty exports expected to surpass $2.75bn in 2018. This market has a long-standing reputation of sophistication, offering high-quality products and J-Beauty is tipped to be the Next Big Thing among Asian consumers. Suppliers include ADEKA Corporation, which offers an impressive range of various cosmetic raw materials, such as gelling agents and surfactants. In addition, ICHIMARU PHARCOS CO, which develops cosmetic active ingredients obtained from natural resources; JAPAN NATURAL PRODUCTS, maker of advanced wax technologies for cosmetics formulations; and Nikko Chemicals, leader in the field of fine chemicals – will all be present to help R&D professionals and cosmetic chemists identify upcoming trends and new ingredients.

Visitors will be treated to even more inspiration from an array of further APAC suppliers hailing from the Indian, Chinese and Korean regions. They will join the Country Pavilions with a cutting-edge range of cosmetic and personal care products, providing a true and varied representation of developments across this continually evolving and exciting region.
